PRODUCT PREPARATION

One-component product ready to use after mixing carefully with mixer at low r.p.m. At this stage the product can be thinned with 5-10% by weight of DIL-UTENE 15 or can be added with ACCELERATE 1(as to decrease curing time).

STORAGE PREPARATION

Substrates to be treated must be sound, clean and free from contaminations.
Starflex adheres directly on concrete (with normal porosity). Primer can be applied to improve adhesion on substrates.
A similar preparation must be used also on tiles, ceramics, marble etc. On sprayed polyurethane or on old roofing felt, 100g/m2 of primer must be previously applied (overcoating time from 60 minutes to 4 hours).


PRODUCT APPLICATION

Starflex can be applied by brush, squeegee, roller or airless spray(pressure 130-150 bar and nozzle 0,031 “-0,035”). Roller application is necessary for reinforced systems. Non reinforced system: apply two coats of product, with a consumption of 0,6-0,8 Kg/m2 tor the second.(over-application time from 6 to 48 hours maximum). If the substrate is horizontal or slightly sloping, the maximum amount of product which can be applied applied without reinforcement is 0,800Kg/m2 per layer.

Reinforced System: use Geo textile 30 to 40 gms and impregnate it with two layers of 0,700-1,000 Kg/m2 each. After minimum 24 hours and not later than 48 hours, a protective colored coating can be applied on the water proofing layer: Starflex Top with a consumption of 100-150 g/m2. Clean the tools with Twinner15 after evry use.
